Adlington residents braved the rain at the weekend, joining together to support their local library.

Adlington Library is threatened with closure and the local community wanted to show their support for this much needed community asset.

MP Lindsey Hoyle joined the group along with Local Councillor Kim Snape and Adlington Mayor Alison Evans.

Also attending was singer One Man and his Beard who sang his Library campaigning songs.

After the demonstration some of the campaigners join in with the Adlington Carnival procession.

The campaign organisers, Caroline Hesketh, Stuart Clewlow and Erika Crawford would like to thank everyone who turned out for the demonstration.
