The Royal British Legion has announced that the first ever Lamp Post Poppy appeal has raised a staggering £3,097 through the generosity of local individuals, businesses and organisations.

The enthusiasm for this appeal saw large poppies not only adorn Horwich's lamp posts but also gates, buildings and even on buses.

The Royal British Legion would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all those below who’s generosity made this happen.
